Rare Disease Day is an important marker in the year where we come together in support of patients and caregivers.
It is a day without borders as we the Rare Disease community come together globally to deliberate on key challenges and solutions to improve the quality of lives of both
the patient and caregiver challenged by the impact of the varying diseases.
We must understand while the condition might be rare numerically, the existence is not.
Our care must be constant and unwavering to each patient and their caregiver in overcoming the impact of Rare Diseases.
This year’s Rare Disease Day theme is geared towards research, I urge our community and every stakeholder to better understand the needs of Rare Disease patients and their caregivers.
The knowledge will enable us to present an evidence-based appeal for the benefit of the many families afflicted with Rare Diseases.
Rainbow Across Borders is humbled to be able to work with patients and their families challenged with Rare Diseases in Asia.
We wish the Rare Disease Foundation of Iran every success in their efforts for “Rare Disease Patients Without Borders Congress”.
Without borders, we will be able to work in One Voice for the benefit of every global citizen challenged with a Rare Disease.
